03 / FAQ

Common questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. Images are decoded and processed inside your browser. TILECHECK does not upload your textures.

Does a low seam score guarantee seamlessness?

No. The number is a simple pixel difference indicator. Check the actual preview, especially with alpha, normal maps and repeating motifs.

Can TILECHECK repair seams?

Not in v0.1. Wrapped offset exports shift image pixels, but do not remove discontinuities.

Which images are supported?

PNG, JPEG, WebP and AVIF, depending on your browser. Maximum file size: 25 MB; maximum image size: 24 megapixels.

Can it run offline?

Yes. Download the repository and open index.html. No installation or build tooling is required.
